The customer gets the reply in your words, with their own name in it.You write it once. The customer’s name goes in by itself.

One reply per moment, in your words.

Five replies, each for a moment of the day, sent only when it should be.

Your hours, your dates

Set each day as open, closed or open for up to two time ranges, in your time zone. Add up to 20 special dates, like holidays, that repeat every year.

With their name in it

Use template variables like the customer’s name, and add an image if it helps, like today’s bread.

Never pushy

The welcome goes out once in the period you choose, and nothing is sent if your team wrote in the last 30 minutes.

Only to the right people

Everyone, or only people not in your contacts yet. Leave out resolved or assigned chats and up to 100 numbers.

Your team sees what went out

Automatic replies are marked in the chat, and the Auto replied filter lists every chat that got one.

Write it once. It answers every day.

Each reply has its own card in your WhatsApp number’s settings.

  1. Open Automatic replies

In your WhatsApp number’s settings, open Automatic replies and switch one on. Start with the welcome message, or the away message with your hours.

  2. Write it in your words

Use the customer’s name and add an image if it helps, like a menu or a price list.

  3. Choose who gets it, and how often

Everyone, or only people not in your contacts yet, and how often the welcome message can go out again.

  4. Leave out the chats you handle

Skip resolved or assigned chats and the numbers you list, and label the chats that got a reply.

Welcome and away messages from Professional.

Start with the two replies most customers need: a hello, and an answer when you are closed.

Business adds the busy, follow-up and missed-call replies.

Questions about automatic replies

Which plans include automatic replies?

The welcome and away messages come with Professional, from $39.90 a month. The busy, follow-up and missed-call replies come with Business, from $69.90 a month, and the plans above it. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, with no credit card.

Can it reply based on what the customer writes?

No. Automatic replies answer moments, not words: a first message, closed hours, a wait, a quiet chat or a missed call. To answer based on what the customer writes, use a Flow or the AI assistant.

Will customers get a reply to every message?

No. The welcome message goes out once in the period you choose, from 24 hours to 2 months. No automatic reply is sent if your team wrote in the chat in the last 30 minutes, and replies are spaced out so nobody gets several in a row.

How do I set my opening hours?

In the away message, set each day as open all day, closed, or open for up to two time ranges, in your time zone. Add up to 20 special dates, like holidays, that repeat every year, or copy the hours from your WhatsApp Business profile.

Who gets the replies?

Everyone, or only people who are not in your contacts yet. You can leave out resolved or assigned chats and up to 100 phone numbers, and send away and follow-up messages only to chats with certain labels.

Does it work in WhatsApp groups?

No. Automatic replies are sent in one-to-one chats with your customers.

Does it work with the WhatsApp Business API?

Yes, with two differences. WhatsApp only lets businesses reply within 24 hours of the customer’s last message, so a reply due later is not sent. The missed-call reply needs a number connected with a QR code.

Do I need to keep my phone on?

No. The replies are sent by WaliChat, not by your phone, as long as your number stays connected to WaliChat.

Will my team know a reply was sent?

Yes. Automatic replies are marked in the chat, the inbox has an Auto replied filter, and you can add labels to every chat that got one.

Answer every customer, even after closing.

One WhatsApp for your team. Customer context and AI help, together.
