The sales funnel board in WaliChat, with deals in the new lead, contacted, proposal sent and won columns
The boardBeta

One column per stage. One card per deal.

Instead of scrolling the inbox trying to remember which leads are still alive, you read the board.

  • Each column header counts its deals and totals what they are worth.
  • The bar above the board carries the whole funnel: total value and deal count.
  • Mine and Stalled narrow it to your own deals, or the ones that stopped moving.
The Sales funnel board: five stage columns, each with its deal count and total, and six deal cards across them

The New business funnel: five stages, six deals, EUR 11,760 on the board. Lost is empty and says so.

Sales funnelWhat the console calls the board. The editor and the API call the same object a pipeline.
StageA column. Every one is of a kind: open, won or lost.
DealA card. One contact, a title, an amount, an owner and a stage.
Moving a deal

Nobody dropped it. Everyone stopped seeing it.

A deal moves when you move it, and the board is the thing that notices when none of them has.

  • Drag a card to the next column, or move it on with the button on the card itself.
  • Won and Lost zones appear while you are dragging, so closing is a deliberate act.
  • Give a stage a days limit and a card that outstays it says so on its face.
The board with its first-run note open, explaining that every card is a lead and that dragging it moves it to the next stage
The note the board shows you the first time: every card is a lead, drag it to the next stage as the deal moves, open it for the full record.

Stalled

It has sat in this stage longer than the days limit you set on it.

Cold

No activity in the conversation for more than three days.

Unread

The customer wrote and nobody has answered yet.

Stages

Name the stages after the way you actually sell

A funnel carries a name, a currency, a colour and a description. The stages under it are yours to write.

  • Up to twenty stages per funnel, each one open, won or lost.
  • Every funnel keeps at least one open stage, one won stage and one lost stage.
  • A stage holding open deals cannot be removed, and a funnel with open deals cannot be deleted.
  • Deleting a funnel keeps its won and lost deals rather than taking them with it.
The pipeline editor: name, currency, colour and description at the top, then five stage rows each with its kind and an optional days limit
Editing the New business pipeline. Five stages, three of them open, and a three day limit on Contacted so a deal that sits there gets flagged.
The deal record

Everything you owe this deal, in one place

Open a card and you get the working file: what was promised, what is due, and how it got here.

  • Comments and tasks with due dates. Overdue rises to the top.
  • They are internal. Nothing written here is ever posted into the conversation.
  • Created, moved, won, lost, handed over, edited, archived, reopened: each with who and when.
  • Every deal has its own link, so a colleague can be sent straight to it.
  • Tasks and comments outlive the messages that prompted them.
A deal record: comments and tasks on the left with the activity trail below them, and the identity, status and suggestion panels on the right

One deal in Proposal sent: a task due 23 August, an internal comment, the trail that opens with who created it, and the panel carrying EUR 4,800 and the agent holding it.

A second opinion

It reads the conversation. You decide.

After new messages and half an hour of quiet, an AI model reads the recent exchange on the deal.

  • It leaves one of two things: a suggested stage move, or a warning that the deal is at risk.
  • Each one carries a one-sentence reason and the exact customer sentence it read.
  • It never moves anything. Move the deal applies it, Dismiss clears it.
  • It is never allowed to propose Won or Lost.
  • It reads the chat messages. It does not read your internal comments.

Closing a deal is not a decision worth putting one click away from a sentence a customer typed.

A suggestion on a deal record: move to Proposal sent, a one-sentence reason, the quoted customer message, and the Move the deal and Dismiss buttons
The whole of a suggestion: where it thinks the deal belongs, why, the sentence it read, and the two buttons. No score, and nothing moves until you press one.
Inside the inbox

The funnel is already in the chat panel

Every one-to-one contact panel carries a Sales funnel block, next to the labels and the contact fields.

  • Put the contact into a funnel without leaving the conversation.
  • One contact, several funnels at the same time, each keeping its own stage.
  • Move the stage from the panel you are already looking at, not from the board.
  • A deal can start from a bare phone number and pick up the conversation later.

The contact panel beside a live chat: two funnels at once, New business at Proposal sent and Onboarding at Setup in progress, each with its own door into the deal record.
How many

One funnel, or one for each thing you sell

New business on one board, renewals on another, each with its own stages and its own currency.

Two funnels on one account. New business runs New lead to Lost; Renewals runs Renewal due, In talks, Renewed, Churned.

Who sees what

The board inherits your inbox rules, then tightens them

Nobody is shown a deal they are not allowed to touch, and that holds over the API too.

Agents see their own

A restricted agent sees only the deals assigned to them, on the board and over the API alike. That is stricter than the inbox, deliberately.

Admins and supervisors see all

They read the whole board, and everyone can act on whatever they can see. Nobody is shown a deal they may not touch.

Managing funnels is a permission

Create and manage sales funnels is its own team permission, on by default for admins and supervisors.

Questions about sales funnels

Is this a separate CRM I have to keep in step?

No. The board reads the conversations already in your shared inbox: the contact, the thread and the deal are the same customer. There is nothing to import when you start and nothing to export afterwards, and no spreadsheet that is stale by Thursday.

A funnel or a pipeline? Which is it?

Both, and they are the same object. Sales funnel is the name the console uses on the board and in the chat panel. Pipeline is the word the editor screen and the REST API use. Nothing behind them differs.

Can one contact appear in more than one funnel?

Yes. What a contact cannot hold is two open deals in the same funnel, so a customer being worked on one board only ever has one live card there. Deals that were won or lost stay in the history and do not block a new one.

How many stages can a funnel have, and can I reorder them?

Up to twenty. Each stage is of one kind, open, won or lost, and a funnel always keeps at least one of each. Stages are added, renamed and removed in the editor; changing the order of existing stages is done over the API rather than from that screen.

Does the AI ever move or close a deal by itself?

No. It leaves a suggestion on the deal record, with the reason and the customer sentence it read, and nothing happens until a person presses Move the deal. It is never allowed to suggest Won or Lost, it reads chat messages rather than your internal comments, and dismissing a suggestion clears it.

Do comments and tasks reach the customer?

Never. Comments and tasks live on the deal record and are not posted into the conversation. Stage changes do show up in the chat thread as system lines, which is a note for your team rather than a message to the customer.

Which plans include it?

The board is on Professional, Business and Enterprise, with one, three and ten funnels respectively. The suggestions are part of the AI assistant, so they need a plan that includes it: Business and Enterprise.

Can I work the board from my phone?

The board and the deal record are screens in the web console. The mobile app does not carry them.

What happens to the history if I delete a funnel?

A funnel with open deals cannot be deleted, and neither can a stage that still holds open ones, so the guardrail catches you before anything is lost. When a funnel does go, its won and lost deals are preserved rather than removed with it.
