Callbell covers four channels. We went deep on one.

Callbell puts four channels into one inbox and prices per user. WaliChat does a single channel thoroughly, and prices per number with team members already counted in.

The answer, before the detail

Both platforms hand a team one shared inbox and stop conversations disappearing into somebody's personal phone. The real choice is shape. Callbell spans four messaging networks and quotes its plans per user, with campaigns and its advanced bot builder as separately priced modules. WaliChat covers one network completely, and there is nothing to bolt on: automation, campaigns, contact records and the full API sit on the plan ladder itself, priced against a WhatsApp number with the team already counted in.

  • Real volume arriving on Instagram, Messenger or Telegram? That is breadth, and breadth is what Callbell is for.
  • Nearly everything landing on WhatsApp? One channel taken seriously beats three inboxes nobody opens.
  • About to add an evening shift or a second department? Work out which model charges you per person and which one already counted them.
  • Expecting to wire messages into your own systems this year? Check whether the API sits in the plan you were pricing or the tier above it.

Worth saying plainly: this page sits on WaliChat's own site. Everything in the Callbell column is drawn from what Callbell publishes about itself, and everything claimed about WaliChat is something you can hold us to during the 7-day trial.

Two philosophies

You are choosing between two bets

Every messaging platform is a wager about where your conversations turn up. Both wagers are reasonable. Only one of them describes your business, and last month's inbox already knows which.

The breadth bet

Gather every network a customer might message you on behind one login, so nobody has to remember which app a question arrived in. It pays off when your audience genuinely scatters, the way a consumer brand fields Instagram DMs, comments and WhatsApp in the same afternoon.

Wins when conversations scatter

The depth bet

Assume one number carries almost all of it, then build everything around that number: automation that resolves chats rather than tagging them, campaigns, a contact record per conversation, an API for the rest of your stack. It pays off when WhatsApp is not one channel among several but the channel.

Wins when one number carries it

Before comparing another feature, count last month's conversations by network. Teams routinely buy breadth for traffic that never arrived, and pay for depth they then never use. The count settles it in ten minutes.

Side by side

What each one actually gives you

Ten lines, each of them something both companies state publicly. Where a capability exists on one side and we cannot source an equivalent on the other, it stays out of this table and appears further down, labelled as ours.

Every cell in the Callbell column was transcribed on 11 August 2026 from Callbell's own published pages: the channels it lists, the rate its plans are quoted at, the two capabilities it prices as modules, and the tier each remaining one is filed under. The pricing page it came from is callbell.eu/en/pricing. Packaging moves on both sides, so open theirs before you decide anything; if a line here has aged badly, tell us and we will correct it.

The invoice

What your bill is counting

A per-user price multiplies: the fifth person costs what the first one did, whether they answer forty chats a day or four. A per-number price does not move until you outgrow the allowance. These are the live allowances, read from the same plan data the pricing page uses.

The arithmetic

Where the two lines cross

A per-seat rate multiplies by headcount; a per-number plan sits still until the allowance runs out. So the two swap places somewhere, and you are entitled to know where instead of being told it depends. Callbell publishes in US dollars, so the sums below are too, and our plan price is the same figure in euros.

At 2 people the seats total $40 a month. Professional is $39.90 and covers 3, which is where the two change places for good.

Published as the tier carrying API & Integrations, so this is the fair line to read if you intend to connect anything to your own systems.

Under those headcounts Callbell is the cheaper subscription, and that is a straight answer rather than a grudging one: if two people answer everything and a third is not coming, per-seat pricing is doing you a favour.

Callbell figures transcribed from its published pricing page (callbell.eu/en/pricing) on 11 August 2026; ours are read live from the same plan data as the table above. These are subscriptions only, and the four below sit outside the sum:

  • Callbell's WhatsApp channel, listed from $54 a month of consumable credits.
  • Callbell's Advanced Bot Builder module, $65.55 a month.
  • Callbell's Broadcast/Campaign module, $0.02 per contact reached.
  • Meta's per-conversation fees, which reach you through any provider, ours included.

The credits are excluded because they pay for messages rather than for the platform, and the modules because you may want neither. Add whichever you would genuinely buy, then compare again. Prices move on both sides: check ours as hard as you check theirs.

The depth

What one channel, taken seriously, buys you

This is the half of the argument a comparison table cannot carry, because it is about how far each capability goes rather than whether a tick appears. Every card links to the page that shows the thing working.

AI agent on duty23:41

Do you deliver to Valencia before Friday?

Yes, Friday morning, as long as the order is in by 6pm today. What is the postcode?

46001

Qualified, tagged and handed to Sales. Ana picks it up at 09:02.

An illustration of the interface, not a real conversation.

Where the agent stops and a person starts

No-code AI agents and Flows answer in your own words, ask the qualifying question, book the thing, and step aside the moment the conversation needs a colleague. Nothing posts a menu and waits.

See it run overnight

Campaigns from the same contact list

Send to a segment you built out of labels and field values, personalise each message from the record, schedule it, and read delivery back against the same contacts. No export, no second product.

How campaigns work

A contact record per conversation

Custom fields you name yourself, labels, internal notes and the files you swapped, sitting beside the thread. Open the chat and the history is already there.

Inside the contacts CRM

The API in every plan

REST endpoints for sending and reading, webhooks that fire the moment a message lands, and connectors that drop straight into n8n, Make or Zapier. All of it sits on the plan you started with rather than the tier above it.

Read the developer side

An MCP server for AI assistants

Point an AI assistant at your WhatsApp workspace and let it read chats, draft replies and trigger sends through a documented tool interface instead of a scraped screen.

What MCP unlocks

Your brand on the front

Agencies and partners run the whole platform under their own name and domain, and bill their clients themselves, through the reseller programme.

Resell it as your own

And the parts nobody puts in a table

Voice calls on the same number, iOS and Android apps so agents can answer away from a desk, and a number checker for cleaning a list before you send to it. Official WhatsApp Business API provider, used by 5,000+ teams.

Switching

Four steps and you are answering

Nobody needs a migration project for this. One person can do the whole thing between lunch and going home, and the trial gives you a week to run both side by side first.

  1. ~5 min

    Take the number with you

Point WaliChat at the WhatsApp Business number your customers already write to. The conversations sitting on it come across with it.

  2. ~10 min

    Upload the contact file

A CSV, a spreadsheet or a Google Sheet, labels and all. Whatever the export misses rebuilds itself the next time each person writes in.

  3. ~1 hour

    Rebuild the ten that matter

Recreate the automations your team actually uses, not the ninety somebody built once. A visual editor means whoever owns the wording owns the flow.

  4. live

    Put the team on it

Add agents, split them into departments and settle who can see what. Then the next message that arrives gets answered.

Straight answers

What travels, and what you rebuild

Switching platforms is mostly painless and partly not. Knowing which half is which before you start is the difference between an evening and a bad week.

The number and its chats travel

Connecting the WhatsApp Business number you already use keeps the conversations on it, so day one does not start on an empty screen.

Contacts travel, in a file

Export your contact list, import it here, keep the labels. What you are doing is moving a spreadsheet, not running a migration project, and campaigns can read the list the moment it lands.

Automations get rebuilt

Flows, routing rules and saved replies are configuration, and configuration does not export between platforms. Budget an hour for the handful you rely on and let the rest go.

Repoint integrations last

Leave your existing webhook endpoint live until WaliChat is sending, then cut over. Nothing raises an error if you leave a gap; the inbound messages just go missing.

Export anything you need for your records from your current platform before you switch away from it. Afterwards is not a plan.

Fit

When you should stay where you are

We would rather you kept a tool that suits you than churned in a month. Both lists are written the way we would want them written if the page were on somebody else's site.

Stay on Callbell if…

  • Instagram, Messenger or Telegram carry conversations you cannot afford to miss.
  • Your team is already fluent in one tool and the disruption costs more than the difference.
  • You have built something substantial in their bot builder that you have no appetite to recreate.
  • A per-user price is genuinely cheaper for you, because two people answer everything.

Come across if…

  • Nearly every conversation lands on WhatsApp, and the other inboxes go unread for days.
  • You are paying per person for colleagues who dip into the inbox twice a day.
  • You want campaigns, automation and the API without three separate line items.
  • Your own systems need to send and receive messages, starting with the plan you can afford today.
  • You resell to clients and need the product to carry your name rather than someone else's.

If the lists split evenly, the cheap way to settle it is to run WaliChat on a second number for a week while your current setup keeps working. Nothing is disconnected and nothing is at risk while you look.

FAQ

Asked before switching

Would WaliChat replace Callbell for us?

It turns on one measurement: how lopsided your channel mix is. Where the overwhelming majority of inbound lands on WhatsApp, the answer is yes, because everything here runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Business API, with the shared inbox, no-code AI agents, bulk campaigns, a contacts CRM and the whole REST API folded into a single subscription billed against a WhatsApp number. When Instagram, Messenger or Telegram carry a real slice of it, a multichannel product like Callbell suits that mix better, and you are better off reading that here than discovering it in week two.

Where do the two products genuinely diverge?

In what the invoice counts, and in what arrives inside it. Callbell publishes its plans at a rate per user per month and lists its Broadcast/Campaign and Advanced Bot Builder capabilities as separately priced modules. A WaliChat plan is quoted against a WhatsApp number, states the headcount it covers, and carries campaigns, the contacts CRM and the API in the price, while the AI agents and Flows arrive from the Business plan up. The break-even section above works that arithmetic out at two, five and ten people rather than leaving it to you.

Is there a seat fee for every person we add?

No. Headcount here works as an allowance rather than a multiplier. Each plan states how many team members it covers, and the second, third or sixth of them leaves the invoice unchanged. Past the top plan's allowance you can buy additional members at a monthly rate per person. The allowance attached to each plan is in the table above, read live from the same plan data the pricing page uses.

Do we lose the number our customers already have?

No, and you should not have to. The normal way in is to connect the WhatsApp Business number you use today, which brings the conversations already on it across with you. Nothing to announce, and no new number for anyone to save.

Will I have to rebuild my chatbot?

The flows themselves, yes. Automation counts as configuration, and no platform exports it to another. In practice it is a shorter job than it sounds, because most teams rebuild the handful they actually use and quietly retire the rest. The editor is visual, so whoever owns the wording can do it without a developer.

Does WaliChat handle Instagram, Messenger or Telegram?

No. WaliChat is a WhatsApp platform, and that focus is the reason the WhatsApp side goes as deep as it does. If those networks carry conversations you have to answer, what you want is a multichannel inbox, which this is not.

Is the API included or is it a higher plan?

Included, on all of them. The cheapest plan already carries the REST API, the webhooks, and everything wired to them: n8n, Make, Zapier and an MCP server for AI assistants. Nothing there unlocks further up the ladder. Worth checking against whichever tier your current provider files its API under. The developers page documents the whole surface before you sign up for anything.

Can an agency resell WaliChat under its own brand?

Yes. The reseller programme puts your name, your domain and your billing relationship in front of the client, with the platform behind it. It is a common reason agencies move off a per-seat product, since seat pricing rarely leaves room for a margin.

How long does the move actually take?

An evening for most teams. Connecting the number takes minutes, contacts arrive as a file, and the real work is recreating the automations you depend on. The trial runs 7 days without a card, which is enough to run both platforms side by side before you commit to either.
