Delete your WaliChat account
Last update: 04/11/2026How to delete your WaliChat account, in the app or on the web, and what happens to your data.
WaliChat is a service of Saasland Ltd. This page applies to your WaliChat account wherever you use it: in the WaliChat app for Android and iOS, and on the web at app.wali.chat.
Delete your account yourself
- Sign in to WaliChat with the account you want to delete.
- Open the deletion page: app.wali.chat/settings/delete. On a computer, you can also reach it from Settings > Account: open the menu next to Account and choose Delete account. On a phone, open the link in your browser.
- Choose Delete account and confirm. The deletion starts at once and you are signed out.
If you own the account, this deletes the whole account, including your team members’ access. If you are a team member in someone else’s account, it deletes only your own user, and the numbers and chats stay with the owner.
If the subscription of one of your numbers cannot be cancelled at that moment, the deletion stops and you see a message: try again a few minutes later, or write to us. Partner (reseller) accounts cannot be deleted this way: write to us.
Or ask us by email
Write to hello@wali.chat from the email address of your WaliChat account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request first. We delete the account as soon as possible, and no later than one month after we receive the request.
What we delete
- Right away: your sign-in sessions and API keys, your team members’ access, your numbers and their subscriptions, your webhooks, sales pipelines, deals and notes, WhatsApp Form responses and chat statistics, and your connections to other apps.
- After 48 hours: the chats, messages, contacts and group members of your numbers, usually within the hour that follows.
- After 5 days: the files you uploaded and the media sent and received in your chats, which we keep in our file storage.
What we keep, and for how long
- A record of the deleted account, with its name, email address and billing details, and the invoices and payment records of your subscriptions, which our payment provider Stripe also holds. We keep them for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- Our servers’ technical logs and error reports, which can include your IP address and phone numbers, for up to 90 days.
- Daily backups, which we use only to restore the service. Deleted data stays in them for up to 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Until then we use them for nothing else, and if we ever have to restore one, we delete that data again.
Messages you already sent stay on the phones of the people who received them. For numbers on the official WhatsApp Business Platform, your WhatsApp Business account stays with Meta, under Meta’s terms.
